November

am having a hard time believing that November has not only passed but Christmas is less than two weeks away.. Yikes! November was a fun filled month for us. Michael and I both celebrated our birthdays, my dad came to Glendive for Thanksgiving and Penelope continued to grow..and grow! The holiday season is about 100% more fun with Penelope around...and a bit more hectic as well. Everything takes SO much longer to do but it is also just that much sweeter. Between Christmas shopping, wrapping presents and entertaining Pen, my blog has taken the back burner, so let's catch up!

November 1st Penelope turned 4 months old! She is still just a little thing (according to growth percentile charts) but we think she is just perfect!

On November 4th we celebrated our nieces birthday with grilled cheese and tomato soup (at her request) cute! She is growing up so quickly and is such a little character! This year she is adding hip hop into her dance classes and I must say it suits her perfectly! She is always busting sweet moves now and challenging her uncle Michael to dance offs! Ahhh...love you Gi!

The next day was Mike's birthday!
The coolest thing about Michael's birthday (Nov.4) is that mine is 5 days later! Ha :)
We celebrated by eating at Mexico Lindo, a local restaurant and a personal favorite. Then we headed to Richie and Jamie's house afterward for cake and presents.

On the following weekend, we went to Billings.

Michael's card & gift from my dad

Since we found out we were expecting on my birthday last year, I skipped the birthday drinks. So this year I made up for it!
That night my dad took on babysitting Penelope so we could have a (much needed) night out! Thanks again, dad!
I had a little bit too much fun......
And let's just say my hair and expression looked A LOT like this the following morning.....

Let's move on to Thanksgiving
My dad joined us in Glendive this year which was so nice! We really enjoyed having him!
Here are some pictures of our Thanksgiving festivities!

Mom and P ate too much and got sleepy. And that means it was the perfect Thanksgiving in our books.

Ooooofta!! Lots to catch up on! A couple of other things that happened in November are Penelope's eagerness to hold her bottle and her new love for her floor activity center. While this is all fun and exciting, I can't help but be a little sad to see her growing so fast. Slllooooowww dowwwwn little P :(

That is all for now! As you can see, we have been busy...and Penelope wants to eat some peas! :)

Back home & busy!

Our first week home from our trip has been pretty busy. Penelope has started eating baby food, endured her first snow storm, had a surprise visit from her "uncle" Chase and had her first Halloween.

On Sunday, when we got home from Kansas, we went to grandma and grandpa's and Penelope pigged out out oatmeal and squash.

After eating we enjoyed some story time with Gi and Aunt Jamie

After that fun and a full tummy.. Someone got verrry sleepy!

Yum, yum! Since she proved she wanted to start eating... We went home and set up her high chair. Such a big girl!

Lounging around at home, happy as ever!

The next day we woke up to snow! Time to get bundled up.

Under that snowsuit is Pen's pumpkin carving outfit.. Which was next on our agenda!

Carving pumpkins at grandma and grandpa's with the cousins!

So much fun! Such a busy little girl but always makes time to cuddle with her kitty!

Michael's friend Chase kind of surprised us this week, which was fun. He had been hunting up at Fort Peck and didn't expect to see us, but was able to make some time to do so. Penelope loves her "uncle" Chase :) I think he's a little smitten by her as well!

And finally... Penelope's FIRST Halloween!! Brace yourself for this picture overload!!

At the end of night, Penelope had enough of Halloween. But I just needed one last picture!

Fun week! We love our little lady bug!
